Katharina Keil is a doctoral researcher at UNIL, and an associate fellow of the REAL project. She works on the social-ecological transition of industry under capitalism, with an interest in the role of workers and trade unions therein. In the context of REAL, she seeks to explore links between her research and the work that will be conducted by researchers working on the politics and policies of degrowth. Katharina studied Liberal Arts and Sciences in Freiburg, Germany, and Maastricht before completing an MSc in Social Ecological Economics and Policy at the Vienna University of Business and Economics. For her, degrowth means coupling social justice with ecological sustainability.
