Victor Cannilla is a doctoral researcher at UNIL. His research focuses on the links between international relations and political ecology, in particular on the types of interstate architectures that could enable the emergence of more just and sustainable post-growth societies. Victor holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and a master’s degree in financial engineering from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, as well as a master’s degree in political economy of capitalism from the University of Geneva.

Between his two master’s degrees, he spent five years in the private sector, notably as an algorithmic trader and corporate strategy consultant for multinationals – experiences that fuelled his questioning of growth, ecological devastation, and transnational power relations.
