Vivien Fisch-Romito is a postdoctoral researcher at UNIL. He’s interested in investigating the dynamics of energy transition along low-carbon pathways through quantitative methodologies. For the REAL project, he focuses on modelling post-growth scenarios of climate change mitigation. He was previously postdoctoral researcher at the Universities of Geneva and Lausanne, and contributed to the IPCC AR6 WGIII report on emissions trends and drivers.

He holds a PhD in economics from the International Centre for Research on the Environment and Development, France, and a MSc in Energy and Transport Economics from Paris Saclay University. For him, degrowth means decoupling wellbeing from material and energy consumption to ensure a sustainable convergence between North and South.
