POSITION

Doctoral researcher

TOPICS WITHIN REAL

Municipalism, urban degrowth, feminist geography, governance

PERSONAL PAGE

Sarah is a predoctorcal researcher at ICTA-UAB. She is an undisciplined feminist scholar most closely associated with human geography, investigating the urban dimensions of transformations towards a post-growth future. For REAL, she will work on radical municipalism, aiming to distill strategic insights from municipalist successes in cities like Barcelona and Zagreb.

Sarah holds a BSc in Development Studies, and an MSc in Sustainability Science from Lund University. Previously, she collaborated in projects on green gentrification, environmental justice, and the reorganisation of care work. For Sarah, degrowth is a radical emancipatory project for the Global North, that should have the courage to tackle the triple crown of capitalism, colonialism, and patriarchy.
