Sarah is a predoctorcal researcher at ICTA-UAB. Sarah is a predoctoral researcher at ICTA-UAB. They are a feminist scholar with a background in human geography, investigating the municipal dimensions of transformations towards a postgrowth future. For REAL, they work on radical municipalism, urban growth dependencies and democratic planning for postgrowth, collaborating with municipalities like Girona in Catalunya, and Hernani in the Basque country. Sarah holds a BSc in Development Studies, and an MSc in Sustainability Science from Lund University. Previously, they collaborated in projects on green gentrification, environmental justice, the reorganisation of care work and urban commons. For Sarah, degrowth is a radical emancipatory project for the Global North, that should have the courage to tackle the triple crown of capitalism, colonialism, and patriarchy.
