Elke Pirgmaier is a teacher, facilitator, project coordinator, and postdoctoral researcher based at UNIL. Trained in systems thinking, radical political economy and ecological economics, she applies knowledge of the system as a whole to building liberating relationships. Within REAL, she wears different hats: organisational development, strategic support, admin fairy, facilitation, designing and hosting participatory processes, building collaborations.

Elke holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Leeds. To her, degrowth becomes alive by kindling people’s enthusiasm, imagination and creativity to build the communities we long for.
