Theo Semertzidis is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow working on degrowth indicators, accounting for the resource nexus, and embodied resource use. Unequal exchange and low-growth futures are critical to this research. Before this post, he was the director of the MSc in Sustainable Resources: Economics, Policy and Transitions at University College London (UCL).

He holds a PhD in Sustainable Resources and Modelling from UCL – PhD thesis title: Hydropower in Brazil through the lens of the water-energy nexus; an MSc in Urban Regeneration from UCL; an MSc in Environmental Engineering from the University of Manchester; and a BEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Salford.
