Sergey is a doctoral researcher at ICTA-UAB. His research is concerned with the economic challenges of replacing the capitalist mode of production in our times. Within REAL, he contributes to post-growth deals, planning of rapid structural transformation of social metabolism, and the democratisation of provisioning systems from the perspective of the long tradition of socialist political-economic thought.

Sergey holds a BA in economics from Higher School of Economics and New Economic School (Moscow), a MSc from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and a master’s in Political Ecology from UAB. He is a recipient of the Joan Oró grant.
